Andras Csaki, age 31
Andras Csaki was born in Budapest and began to play the guitar at the age of 11. In 1996, he was admitted to the Bela Bartok Conservancy of Music and in 2002, he continued his studies at Liszt Ferenc Academy in Budapest, where he graduated with honor in 2007.
Since 1995, Andre has been a regular participant in international master classes all over the world, including master classes held by Manuel Barrueco, Leo Browwer, Abel Carlevaro, Costas Cotsiolis, David Russell, and Angel Romero.
He has received 22 prizes, including first prize in the 51st Tokyo International Guitar Competition in 2008, the Michele Pittaluga Guitar Competition in Alessandria, Italy in 2009 and in the Julian Arcas Guitar Competition in Spain in 2011.
In addition to solo recitals, he is also devoted to chamber music. He has also had several opportunities to play guitar concertos with symphonic orchestras in Hungary and abroad.
He has frequently given master classes in various countries, such as Estonia, France, Great Britain, Greece, Romania, USA and his native Hungary.He is currently assistant professor at Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music is Budapest.
