Nemanja Ostoich

Nemanja Ostoich has so far performed in 19 countries on four continents.  As a soloist, he performed with Bilkent Symphony Orchestra (Ankara, Turkey), Athens Chamber Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic, Saint George Strings and Allentown Symphony, collaborating with conductors such as Peter Ivanovic. Bujor Hoinic, Diane Wittry and Leo Brouwer.

A masterful and musical player, Nemanja has been the gold medalist or the top prizewinner in more than fifteen major international guitar competitions around the world.  A native of Serbia, he graduated from the University of Belgrade, studying with Professor Srdjan Tosic and has completed both the Masters Degree and Artist Diploma Program at Jacobs School of Music,  Indiana University, in Bloomington, under the guidance of maestro Ernesto Bitetti .

A recent career highlight was performing Rodrigo’s “Concerto de Aranjuez” with the Athens, Greece, Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Leo Brouwer.  Mr Ostoich was also selected to substitute for the legendary Grammy Award winning guitarist John Williams, who had to withdraw from this performance at the 5th Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade, Serbia. 

His 2009 Debut CD album, “First Born”, presents 20th century music for classical guitar from Barrios and Moreno-Torroba, to Brouwer and Koshkin.  It has received rave reviews internationally.
